![]() A message from the Pastor... This summer has been jam packed with holidays, fundraisers, community events, and church functions. We’ve had picnics, kids programs, and last week we had our VBS program! Though the summer days are winding down, many ministry opportunities are still available! The East Ohio Nazarene District will be having the annual Family Camp August 8th-15th. Please pay close attention to the flyer in this newsletter and keep in mind the dates of services that catch your attention. Each day offers something new, and I urge you to attend the many services, hear the many speakers, and participate with the East Ohio District Faith Family. With Camp going on, please keep in mind the service changes that will be here at the church. We will be relocating evening service on Sunday August 8th and Sunday August 15th. Our evening services are being relocated to Cannan Acres. We will also relocate our Bible Study on August 11th to the Camp, where Dr, Diehl will be speaking. All of the schedule changes are available on this month’s calendar. Please be sure to attend the morning worship service on Sunday August 22nd as we focus on Missions with Faith Promise. We will also be promoting our kids on Sunday, August 29th to their new classes. I know many families will be taking vacations this month to relax before another busy school year begins. I pray for safe traveling mercies for you all. I know our Kids and Teens will be enjoying these last few weeks of freedom! Our calendar is full for the fall months with various church and community activities, many of which are chaired by our Sunday School Department. If you would like to be involved with these outreach ministries, please contact Derek Varansky. We will also be starting a new, monthly contemporary service this fall. This service will be held once a month and will feature a house band, comprised of several teens in the church, and will run like a normal Sunday Service would run. I’m excited for the opportunity to be part of this! We’ll be having this service in the evening and a different message will be delivered. I invite all to take part in this service. Praise God for the blessings he has poured down upon this church, this family, and this community.
Grace and Peace, |

October 10th, 2010
Mason Ohler is a fun, energetic, and
friendly child who will be attending kindergarten in the
fall. Mason was born in September 2004 and everything was
wonderful, he was a sweet quiet baby. But in November 2006
Mason's life was changed when he was diagnosed with a
seizure disorder. Mason has frequent seizures, and
without the constant watch of his parent's, the seizures
could be missed and they could become dangerous to his
health. The family has been given the opportunity to
provide a service dog for him that would be able to sense
the seizure and let other's around know. However, the
family must fundraise $13,000 to provide the funds for the
service dog. Mason and his family are active attendees
of the church and participates in Sunday and Wednesday
programs, as well as special events throughout the year.
Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Please consider making a tax deductible donation to 4 Paws For Ability, Inc at 253 Dayton Ave. Xenia, OH 45385. Be sure to include "In Honor of Mason Ohler" on the memo portion of your check so that Mason will receive proper credit. |
