Nazarene Youth Group Page! Below is a description of the
weekly programs offered! Continue to the bottom for more

Sunday School |
The teens meet each Sunday at
9:30 for Sunday School in the Teen Center.
Teens discuss topics of interest and what the Bible
says about dealing with life's situations.

Digging Deep |
Digging Deep is on Sunday nights from
6-7pm in the Teen Center. Digging Deep stands for
Digging Deep into God's word and discovering the
meaning of the Word. Teens spend the hour
discussing a book of the Bible and interpreting it.
Teens also play games such as ping pong, hang out on
the computers, or just chill. |

Connectivity |
Connectivity is the Wednesday night
program for teens held in the Teen Center from 6-8
pm. During this time, teens connect to God's
word through a particular topic and go through the
Bible and discuss what God wants us to do in
particular situations. The evening also
consists of extra activities including an opening
warm up activity, games, and snacks.

Friday Fun Night |
Friday Fun is held each Friday night from 7-9 either
in the Church of in the Teen Center. Teens
meet for a movie one week in the Sanctuary, where a
movie and discussion is held, and the next in the
Teen Center playing games. The games are
either optional with a variety available, or the
group plays a game as a team. These activities
rotate each week. |

Monthly Outing |
Each month, the teens spend one
Saturday hanging out together doing an activity.
These include movies, lunch, shopping, or another
group activity. Check the calendar page for
the date each month. |

The Band |
The teens are working on putting
together a band and spend time practicing both
Sunday and Wednesday nights. The band plays in
the contemporary service, on Friday nights, and at teen
events. The band is led by Derrick Ladrach,
and he can be contacted if anyone is interested in
being part of it. |

30
Hour Famine |
Each year the youth group
participates in World Visions 30 Hour Famine.
Teens spend one weekend in March without food,
instead raising money for hunger awareness and
participating in service projects both at the church
and in the community. |

Teen Retreat |
Beginning in 2010, the teens will
participate in a weekend retreat where they focus on
taking the message of the cross outside the church
walls. Teens meet at a retreat location and
have guest speakers who bring messages and
activities.

Fall Retreat |
The Teens participate in the District
Fall Retreat each November and spend a weekend in
worship, in activities, and hanging out at Camp
Muskingum. With no cell or internet service,
teens must rely on each other for support and
encouragement as they discuss Christian living. |

The Alive Festival |
The Alive Festival is now located in
"our back yard" at Atwood Lake, located 15 minutes
from the church. Teens have the option of
staying at camp for a week in June and attending
services, concerts, and enjoying time swimming,
playing games, buying band items, and enjoying camp
food. |

Fundraising |
Our Youth Group is self sufficient
and receives no funding from the Church through
budgets. Our group believes that we must be
financially responsible and thus fundraise to pay
for activities. Fundraisers take place
throughout the year and those who take part in the
groups activities are expected to do their part to
finance the group. |

9:
Contemporary Worship 7pm (Teen House Band Plays)
11: Pancake Breakfast—come volunteer to help the Sunday
School Department! All teens eat free if you
help!
22: Pizza Fundraiser Orders due
25: Meet at church 9am to make Pizzas/Deliver Pizzas
OCTOBER
2:
Atwood Fall Fest: 5-10pm leaving church at 5, return at
10- $5 admission plus $5 for haunted hayride)
10: Harvest Bash (2-6 at Community Park. Teen will help
with booth and games) No Evening Service.
14: Contemporary Worship 7pm (Teen House Band Plays)
16: New Towne Mall Scavenger Hunt, leave church at 6pm,
return at 9pm. Bring money to eat in food court.
30: 10 Plagues 7-10pm (Free admission, come experience
the thrills of ancient Egypt. We need
volunteers to help with this)
NOVEMBER
5: Inn
Gathering (Community Dinner at TV Primary 6pm. Bring
your families!)
11: Contemporary Worship 7pm (Teen House Band Plays)
12-14: Fall Retreat (Cost is $85. Registrations due BY
November 3. Leaving Church on 12th
at 5pm)
14: Magical Night of Giving 6-10 at New Towne Mall (We
will be selling tickets for this) No Evening Service.
24: NO EVENING SERVICES
